Happy Friday everyone! 😀 A few weeks ago my buddy Michelle (from Pretty in the East) and I did a drugstore beauty swap. It was a lot of fun and she sent me a bunch of great products, none of which I’ve tried before so I was really happy! One of the products she sent me was a L’Oreal Infallible Eyeshadow in “Bronzed Taupe” and I was immediately in love.
So I ventured out to CVS in search of more colors and I scored 2 more for QUITE the deal if I do say so myself! 🙂 Now, explaining CVS extra bucks and how to work them is an entirely different story (Nouveau Cheap has a fantastic CVS for Newbies post if you want to read up on it.) Anyway I had $10 Extra Bucks cash from a previous purchase, a $3 off $15 Beauty purchase (a “cvs only”) coupon, and a $1 L’Oreal cosmetics manufacturer coupon. I ended up paying $2.58 for the 2 shadows…I chose “Always Pearly Pink” and “Endless Sea“
These shadows are so creamy and insanely pigmented. They also blend very easily and can be applied wet for even more pigmentation. The wear time is also fantastic, I got 8 hrs with no creasing or fading (over primer) and even when I rubbed my eye by mistake the color didn’t budge…I was impressed. FYI the swatches below are over bare skin (no primer.)
ALWAYS PEARLY PINK:
This shimmering pink is the lightest of my 3 shades. Its great for those who like a more natural look and it is perfect for an all over lid color or as a highlight.
This is the most gorgeous metallic turquoise….defiantly like a tropical sea! I love this color for summer.
This is the one Michelle got me! Its a warm shimmering brown and it looks so soft and beautiful blended out. It’s really great for any time of year and can be used with lots of other colors.
For this look I used the pink from my inner corners to the middle of my lid, then I blended the turquoise from the middle to the outer edge and into my crease.
I was very happy with the deal I got and the performance of these eyeshadows…I will defiantly be picking up more shades!
Have you tried any of these infallible eyeshadows?
Hope you all have a great day! Thanks so much for reading! xoxo, Kristina
