Covergirl Forever Fawn Nail Polish

Welcome to another mani Monday on The Feminine Files! Hope you all had a great weekend, the weather was ABSOLUTELY gorgeous here in NH so we had a lot of fun outside having campfires and smores!

Todays polish is a Covergirl that I found on clearance at my local Hannaford (where I work PT at night.) It was marked down to $2.50, and seeing that I have never tried any Covergirl polish I scooped it up.

The color I chose (Forever Fawn) is interesting…I only picked it because I don’t have any shades like it yet.

Forever Fawn:

Covergirl Forever Fawn Nail PolishSo, yah…it kind of looks like I’m wearing nothing, I thought it was just BLAH. LOL Also, the formula was pretty thin, I used 3 coats in the photo above but on the plus side, it did dry fairly quick.

In my opinion, this kind of polish would be best used as a base for nail art, or a sparkly top coat. You could also probably get away with 2 coats if your going to layer a sparkle/glitter over it.

Some top coats I added:

Julep Venus (retired)  I Julep Adele I Zoya Opal I Julep Jane I OPI Don’t Violet me Down

So this neutral nude polish looks great with lots of various top coats like chunky glitter, shimmer, opalescent, and sheer tints! I personally love the way all of them look! :)

What is your favorite top coat for neutral (boring) nail polish?

Thanks so much for reading, hope you have a MAGNIFICENT MONDAY! (Don’t forget to enter my current GIVEAWAY!) Ends 6/23 US only!

  1. First…I LOVE the adorable family pic!! :) And I really really like that polish with your top coats – I think my faves are Julep Jane and OPI violet but they are all so cute and could go with so many outfits or looks! What a great idea to help transform a polish!

  2. I really love the different looks, but I also love the nude nail!! Your family is super cute! It’s always a great way to be able to use so many different looks with one polish!

  3. Your family is absolutely adorable!!!! And although I wouldn’t pick out this color for myself, (I’m all about the bright, in-your-face colors) this is PERFECT for that nude / professional look. It also holds well as a base coat. I think you could make any color look fantastic! You should consider taking up being a nail salon professional lol!

    • :D Thanks Ashly…they are great! I don’t care for super light nudes like this, but sparkle is a great way to change any polish your not a fan of!
