Wow, thats a long post title for such a little bottle of nail polish! 🙂
This is my second bottle of Lancome nail polish (I reviewed the Nuit D’Azur shade about a month ago.) While perusing their site I noticed they had another “free shipping on any purchase deal,” plus you received a mini mascara, mini lash primer AND another deluxe sized gift with purchase…so yah, I decided to scoop up another polish. (I chose a gorgeous lipstick for the deluxe sample that i’ll be reviewing later on!)
The Jason Wu for Lancome Fall 2014 nail polish caught my eye because 1. It was brand new, 2. It’s LE (I’m assuming here) and 3. It’s SO pretty!
About Jason Wu’s Lancome Collection: (From the Lancome website)
“Lancôme and Jason Wu invite you to step on to the runway for their second collaboration. Inspired by the midnight floral pattern in Jason’s pre-fall fashion, this makeup collection combines romanticism with a hint of dark glamour in all new eyeshadow palettes, lipsticks and nail polish. The perfect trend statement for pre-fall.”
Fuchsia Veneer isn’t very “fuchsia”…in my mind anyway. Its much more of a deep cherry/berry color, albeit still gorgeous!
It applied very even and covered to complete opacity in 2 coats. It dried to a glossy finish, but the glossiness wore off quickly if a top coat wasn’t added. In some light it leans slightly red (as you can see below), but it mostly shows with a slight deep purple undertone (like the photo above.)
It also seems a tiny bit darker in real life, it was hard to capture with my camera!
Although the price tag on these beauties is rather expensive, if you wait for a free shipping deal and take into account the value of the awesome samples you get, i’d say its a pretty good deal!
I will defiantly be on the look out for another Lancome sale and post it to my Facebook or Twitter ahead of time, so make sure you are following me! <3
Hope you all have a TANTALIZING TUESDAY!!! 😀 xo, Kristina
