Pacifica started out making fragrance and candles and they have since expanded into body & skin care, makeup and now nail polish. If you have never tried any Pacifica fragrance, I highly suggest you do! They carry a limited selection of products in Target stores. Some of my favorite fragrances are Waikiki Pikake, Island Vanilla, French Lilac and Tibetan Mountain Temple! (I’m a girl of many fragrances!)
Description From Pacifica:
“Our new 7 Free Nail Polish is long lasting and void of many chemicals that one would find in traditional nail polish. Amazing vibrant colors that go on smooth and stay put. Plus we have added a custom wide 100% vegan brush for easier application.”
A lot of nail polishes are “3 free” (Butter London, Essie, OPI) or “5 free” (Zoya & Julep) but Pacifica’s polishes are “7 free” meaning they are free from parabens, phthalates (dibutyl phthalate), toluene, xylene, camphor, formaldehyde, resin, and animals.
Psychedelic Jungle is a stunning medium green creme. It has great consistency and was opaque in 1 coat, but I used 2 to smooth out my nail imperfections.
I topped all of these with Unicorn Horn, a sheer pink pearlescent top coat. Unicorn Is pretty sheer, so it doesn’t look all that great by itself.
Amethyst Castle is a deep purple/berry creme. This was a little less thick so I had to use 3 coats to get it perfectly even. The plus side is, that these polishes dry pretty quickly!
Unicorn Horn gives Amethyst Castle a nice glow, the pink pearlescent goes really well with the berry color.
1972 Pool Party:
1972 Pool Party is a dusty medium blue creme. I LOVE this shade! It was pretty opaque in 1 coat, but again I used 2. This has an awesome vintage vibe and the name suits it perfectly!
I love Unicorn Horn over this! It kind of reminds me of denim or something…very lovely effect!
I was super impressed with these polishes and will be looking to get more in the future! I only wish they sold them in stores, so you didn’t have to pay for shipping. They retail for $9 each.
Oh, P.S. I also bought one of their candles in the Tibetan Mountain Temple scent and O.M.G…it smells amazing! It’s spicier/warmer and less floral than the fragrance version and its PERFECT for fall! <3
What are your thoughts? Do any of their new polishes interest you?
Thanks for stopping by, hope you have a lovely day! xo- Kristina
