Ok, so I didn’t actually get the whole collection…I am missing “Bohemian” because they were out and I didn’t feel like going to other stores to try and find it with my kids in tow. So, I have 3 out of the 4 polishes to show you…
Also, according to Nouveau Cheap, Artsy & Bohemian are permanent (she says you can tell because they are assigned numbers on the cap) and Edgy & Confident are Limited Edition.
The 3 that I have are all glitters in a tinted base with large and medium hex glitter pieces. The base is thin on all of them so you need 2-3 coats, but then they become opaque and super flashy! They all dry kind of rough and dull, so you really do need a top coat to make them smooth and shiny.
Chunky glitters aren’t my favorite kind of polish mainly do to the fact that they are somewhat of a pain to apply (and remove.) I really prefer micro glitters and holo shimmers to get my “sparkle fix.” 🙂
Edgy (LE) is a deep purple tinted base with large purple hex glitter and tiny bar glitter (I don’t think the bar glitter is even visible on the nail.) This was 2 coats.
Confident (LE) is a bright red base with dark red large and small hex glitter pieces. I thought that this would be my least favorite, but it turned out to be the one I liked the best! This was 3 coats.
Artsy is a dark navy blue base with bright blue hex glitter. This was 2 coats.
Overall: these polishes are all pretty but they do all chip and get tip wear rather quickly even with a top coat. Additionally, they are a pain to remove so I would defiantly use the foil method, or at the very least pure acetone to make the process easier.
What do you think of these shades? Are you a fan of glitter nail polish? Let me know in the comments below!
Thanks for reading, hope you have a marvelous Monday! xo, Kristina
