Happy Hump Day! We are halfway there people and I’ve got a pretty little makeup box from Wantable to review for you today.
This is my first time getting a Wantable makeup box. I have previously reviewed an Intimates Box and an Accessories Box, both of which were great! Wantable also recently added a new Fitness Box which sounds great if you are into that! I ended up buying this box because they had emailed me a promotion code for 50% off, so I paid $18 which is a great price, and I can cancel the subscription anytime (right from the website.) The makeup boxes contain 4-5 premium full sized products, and there is a very in-depth questionnaire to get you the best products suited to your taste.
I was kind of excited to get this particular box because this months featured beauty expert that helped curate the box was Lisa Heath from Cosmetic Sanctuary! (I love her blog!)
As you can see, I received 4 full sized products. They are all lovely, but the box seems very pink to me…maybe because its October??…IDK
I received the Hyperreal Pure Pigment in Dollicious, a loose bubblegum pink eyeshadow with a gold shift. First off, the container is good and bad…good because it doesn’t spill out everywhere, but bad because its also tricky to get a decent amount out! LOL. I swatched it over primer and then used my finger to apply to my lids. (These loose powders never seem to be as vibrant if I use a brush.) It stuck to my lids well and lasted all day. Its a pretty shade, but I think pink can be a tricky color to wear on eyes…makes you look kind of ill, but the gold helped counter that a bit. $11
Spellbound Nail Lacquer:
Spellbound Nail Lacquer by Liberty Republic in Aura. A light pink-y/ nude shade with a gold shimmer. This isn’t a color I would have personally chosen for myself, but its growing on me. I think it is a great spring color, or if you want to match it with cute girly outfit. (Also, its very SFW) The formula was fantastic though, I used 2 coats, no topcoat and it still lasted me a night through work with no chips or tip wear, which stunned me! I am going to look into trying more shades from this brand in the future! This color is part of the new Darkside Collection that is exclusive to Wantable Boxes this month and will be for sale online on 10/31. $14
Cattiva Gloss & Mirabella Blush:
I also received a Cattiva il Primo Bacio Lip Gloss in shade #2 which looks like a shimmering pink-y nude. I’ve always wanted to try Cattiva Lip Gloss, but nude is not my color so it will be going in a giveaway pile! $24
Lastly, I got a Mirabella Blissful Blush Duo which contains 2 matte blushes and a mirror in a cute sturdy compact. Mirabella’s Blush Colour Duo creates a two-toned finish with its darker shade to accentuate and define cheek bones and highlighter to bring it all together. I have so many blushes already, so i’ll be giving this away as well. $30
This box was kind of meh for me. I mean, the products were very nice and the value was great ($79!) But the whole color theme left little to be desired for me. That being said, I do think Wantable is one of the best subscription boxes out there. They offer many kinds of boxes, full size products and a lengthy survey for better customization. (Maybe I need to re-do my survey? 😉 ) If you want to sign up for a Wantable Box, please consider using my REFERRAL LINK.
