To be honest, I’ve never really used many Physicians Formula products, I guess I’ve never really been drawn to them. But when I passed by some of their new products in the drugstore a few weeks ago I couldn’t help but notice the adorable packaging. I had some coupons and they had some pretty good extra bucks with purchase, so I decided to pick up a few things. I decided on the Nude Wear Foundation and Argan Oil Blush.
Nude Wear Foundation | Light:
How adorable is this bottle!? The Nude Wear line also offers blushes, bronzers and glow sticks for the face. The foundation, disappointingly, is only offered in 2 shades (Light and Light/Medium.) I think they should definitely offer more shades. Even the light is slightly too dark for my skin right now and girls with darker complexions are completely missing out. It comes packaged with a tiny little brush which is soft, but much too small to apply foundation in my opinion. Anyway, it is in a pump style bottle and the foundation itself is kind of thin and runny. It spreads and blends easily gives nice medium coverage and dries to a semi-powdery finish. I have oily skin and it can become a little dewy looking after a few hours, so I usually set it with a powder.
Argan Oil Blush | Natural:
The Argan Oil Blush is offered in Natural and Rose (I chose natural.) They also have a Bronzer, BB cream, and some Argan Skincare Oils in the collection. The shade natural is a medium pink-y/peach. It has a gold shimmer overspray that goes away after the first 2 uses, thank goodness because it is way to shimmery. The blush has a lovely scent and blends easily. It is quite pigmented, so use a light hand when applying. $12.99
Before & After:
Before and after using the Physicians Formula Nude Wear Foundation. I still have to do some touch up concealing under my eyes and around my chin, but for the most part it does a decent job at covering minor imperfections.
And here is the finished look using the Argan Oil Blush in Natural. I am also wearing Urban Decay’s Revolution Lipstick in Streak, YSL Volume Effect Mascara and Maybelline Brow Drama Gel in Soft Brown.
I have been using this foundation and blush for a few weeks now and I really love them. I think the foundation will be a better match for me in the summer when I am a little more tan, but for now I just have to blend like crazy! 😀
