I was really hoping to get this new brow product from Julep in my last Maven box, but it just didn’t work out that way… So, since I had a $15 credit from a referral, I decided to scoop one up. The Julep Don’t Leave Your Brows at Home Brow Powder is offered in 4 shades and after referring to their color chart, I determined that I was the shade “Cool Brown.”
I’m assuming they came up with that adorable name because this brow product is very portable! On one side, the cap lifts off to reveal a small angled brush head. The other side twists off to reveal the small pot of cream “powder.”
According to Julep, this brow formula “goes on like a gel, dries like a powder and holds like a wax.” It really does glide on very easily and is fairly creamy. I don’t know how long that texture will last, I hope it doesn’t dry out quickly but I will keep it tightly closed anyway!
Once it’s on, it stays put! I tried to rub my hand swatch after 10 minutes and it didn’t budge. I tried rubbing with water and only after several rough passes did it start to come off. It also helped tame the wild hairs at the end of my brows, which regular powder colors don’t do.
The tiniest bit was enough for both of my small brows. It was slightly too dark after applying, so I softened it a bit by blending with a spoolie brush. The only gripe I have with this product is the opening for the brow color is kind of small and it makes it slightly difficult to get an even amount on the brush. The Julep Don’t Leave Your Brows at Home is priced at $24, (or $19.20 for Mavens.) I think that is slightly high, but I had a $15 credit and it is totally worth it for the price I paid.
