I have always loved Butter London nail polish and I usually grab shades that I am coveting during Ulta’s 21 Days of Beauty event. Recently Butter London graciously sent me some of their brand new Patent Shine 10x Nail Lacquers to review and just as I suspected, they did NOT disappoint!
The new Patent Shine 10x lacquers have a 10-in-1 formula that provides:
- Up to 10 days of wear
- Salon color coverage
- Gel-like cushion finish & superior shine
- Strengthens nails
- Smooths nails
- Prevents breakage and peeling
- Visibly brighter, more radiant nails
- 7-free formula- no formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, DBP, toluene, camphor,
ethyl tosylamide, or xylene
Butter London Patent Shine:
The bottle is pretty much the same with the exception of the chrome cap instead of black. (It is still slides off to reveal a small circular cap to make painting your nails easier.)
All of the shades they sent me were lovely, but they have 14 gorgeous Patent Shine shades to choose from. I was really pleased with the formula and coverage. All of these were very pigmented and covered perfectly in 2 coasts. The only one that maybe could have used 3 was Her Majesty’s Red because it was a slightly thinner formula. They also seemed to level out very well on the nail and there were no streaks what so ever!
Over the Moon:
Over the Moon is described as a warm grey creme. I didn’t think I would like this shade when I first saw it, but it’s growing on me. I think it would make for a great nail art base/shade. I used 2 coats.
Chat Up is a deep blue/teal creme that would be perfect for fall. I used 2 coats.
Shop Girl is a soft beige creme with pink tones. When I first posted my pic of these polishes on IG and Facebook, everyone was going crazy for this nude! I think it would be really flattering on all skin tones! This is 2 coats.
Her Majesty’s Red:
Her Majesty’s Red is a true blood red creme. Oh my god, this shade is gorgeous. I don’t even normally like red polishes all that much but this is just so perfect, sophisticated and shiny! This was a little thinner formula wise and at 2 coats you could still see a little bit of my nail line. 3 coats would be perfect though.
I have to say, these polishes really blew me away! The formula, consistency, shine and wear time are all top notch. I put the red on yesterday, did a bunch of housework, raked the yard and neatened up my garden a bit and it it still perfect and shiny! There are so many other colors I want to try!! These new Butter London Patent Shine Nail Lacquers retail for $18 and you can find them at Ulta, Sephora and Nordstrom (free shipping.)
What do you think of these colors? Would you splurge on any??
