Happy hump day fellow beauty fiends! You may remember that last year around this time Zoya released a (limited edition) matte red lipstick that was inspired by the Matte Velvet polish shade Posh. I ended up getting ahold of that lipstick in a mystery bag I bought from them around the Holidays and I am so happy I did because it’s an amazing matte red!
Then, in March of this year Zoya released another lipstick called Mackenzie that, at the time, was sold in an Ulta exclusive satin duo pack. I snagged that lipstick too and it was a nice creamy berry/wine shade.
Fast forward to a few weeks ago, when lo and behold, I noticed new lipsticks up on the Zoya site! Along with Mackenzie, there are 5 new lipstick shades available…5 of them are categorized as a “Hydrating Cream” and there is 1 matte formula.
Of the ones I purchased, Georgia and Paisley are cremes, and Maxwell is the matte. They come in a black satin tube that isn’t very fancy but it serves it’s purpose. (I do like it better than the one that their first matte red came in.)
- Georgia is a vibrant cranberry red with a soft finish that I think feels semi-matte. This lasts for about 5 hrs on me and leaves a light berry stain.
- Paisley is a medium blush rose shade that is so comfortable to wear, it almost feels like a lip balm. This lasts for about 3-4 hours.
- Maxwell is a deep plum with a subtle fuchsia fleck in a matte finish. This feels pretty comfortable in terms of a matte finish, but it can wear off a little unevenly. It helps if you pair it with a wine hued lip liner underneath. This shades lasts about 4-5 hours on me.
I really like all of these shades, but I think Paisley and Georgia are my 2 favorites! They retail for $12 each and you can find them on Zoya.com!
