Weleda is one of those brands that I trust to consistently put out great, quality products. Their Calendula line is one of the only things I used on my kids when they were babies, and most recently I have been loving their Nail Care Pens to help keep my nails looking great between swatching! A few weeks ago, I was sent a years supply of the Weleda Skin Food to commemorate it’s 90th anniversary. Since it’s a celebration of sorts, I thought it would be fun to share some of this wonderful hand cream with a couple of my followers!
Skin Food was first introduced in 1926 when Weleda created a natural plant extract formula that delivered soft, supple, hydrated skin. It’s packed with high quality ingredients such as sunflower seed oil, sweet almond oil, chamomile, calendula, and pansy extracts, which are either grown in Weleda’s biodynamic gardens or ethically sourced through fair trade partnerships worldwide. The cream itself is super rich and has a fresh herbal scent. It takes a minute to completely absorb, but then my hands feel so smooth and nourished. People go nuts for this stuff. In fact, in 2015 they sold over one million units world wide…the proof is in the pudding (er, lotion)!
It’s not just for dry hands though! Check out all the other ways you can use the Weleda Skin Food:
- Hydrates Dry Elbows
