I have been a long time fan of Soap & Glory’s bath and body products. The Original Pink™ scent is my absolute favorite and I love most everything in the line especially the body wash, bubble bath, lotion and body scrub! So naturally, when I found out they have a bunch of new makeup products out I had to snag a few during my last Ulta haul! The Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Sticks are an on-the-go mini size gloss/lipstick hybrid. In fact, what you see in the photos below is what you get… yes, at .05 oz they are very tiny but they are relatively affordable costing only $6 each. However, being someone who has never completely used up a lip product that really doesn’t bother me all that much. There are 5 shades in the line and I have 3 of them to show you today!
Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Sticks
When I first opened the cap, I did notice a strong sweet vanilla scent, but it faded very quickly after applying to my lips so I don’t think it’s something to be too concerned about if you are adverse to scented lip products. All of the ones I tried were very nicely pigmented. Actually, I thought they were going to be much more sheer so I was pleasantly surprised that they are more of a lipstick formula instead of a gloss. They are super shiny at first, but the glossiness wears down after a couple of hours. On average I get about 4 hours or wear, and they are extremely comfortable for the entire time. These claim to have a 3D volume formula which delivers plump looking lips without the signature tingle that most of their other (older) lip products have. I didn’t notice any plumping per se, but I think the glossiness creates the illusion of slightly fuller lips.
- Techni-Coral is a medium coral/orange shimmer that seems to get more pink as time goes on. The shimmer is slightly noticeable in a gritty sense, but it’s not unbearable. This leaves behind a slight stain and lasts about 4 hours.
- Pink Punch is a bold fuchsia pink cream with amazing pigmentation! This color lasted about 5 hours and leaves behind the most color as it wears off.
- Purple Rain (is a song by Prince) I mean, it’s a plum/berry with slight shimmer. This was slightly sheer and the most glossy looking, but it can be built up nicely.
I’ve gotta say, I haven’t tried any Soap & Glory makeup in quite some time so I wasn’t sure what to expect with these. I am happy to report though, that I am thoroughly impressed and I would definitely re purchase all of these shades if I run out. And that might actually happen because these are so small, which is actually my only gripe with them. I guess they were meant to be mini’s though, so I can’t say I didn’t know that going in. You can find these for $6 at Ulta Beauty stores.
