Good morning everyone! We are in the home stretch for the weekend and I couldn’t be more excited. I am currently in the process of swatching a few new nail polish releases, but I’m stating with the Zoya Petals Collection today since it was the first one that I received. This new collection is bright, cheery and reminiscent of a field full of wildflowers. Most of these were quite thin and I needed 3 coats for about half of them to make them opaque. The formulas are nice though, and there were no issues with patchiness or streakiness that I saw.
Zoya Petals Collection
Laurel is a warm pink with a hint of shimmer that you can catch at certain angles. This was good in 2 coats.
Zahara is a shimmering coral/orange with an opalescent effect. This is so gorgeous in person and I liked it more than I thought I would at first glance. This needed 3 thin coats to become opaque.
Leia is a sheer opalescent white with flecks of fuchsia, green and gold (though I only really see the green and fuchsia.) This is such a unique polish, I actually love this one! Again, this needed 3 coats when worn on it’s own, but it’s also gorgeous layered over other shades. (I just tried it over a pastel yellow and it’s stunning!)
Aster is a shimmering lavender with flecks of fuchsia. This was also on the thin/sheer side, so 3 coats was needed for better coverage.
Tulip is a soft salmon cream with a hint of shimmer. This covered nicely in 2 coats.
Azalea is a vibrant shimmering pink with a white & fuchsia flash. I could have probably gotten away with 2 coats on this one, but I did 3 to even it out and darken it a bit.
Overall, I think that this collection is really cute and has a nice spring vibe to it. The formulas were ok, but the fact that a lot of them needed 3 coats might put some people off. I really do like all of these shades but my favorites here are definitely Leia, Tulip and Zahara. These Zoya polishes retail for $10 each and you can find them on the Zoya site, and usually in store at Ulta.
Do any of the Zoya Petals shades excite you? Which ones do you like best?
