If you’ve been following my blog for a while then you may know that I am a big fan of Pacifica Beauty. My affinity began with their Tuscan Blood Orange Hand Cream that I received in my very first Ipsy bag, and it has only grown since then. Some of my very favorite items include their Rollerball Fragrances, Candles, Hand Creams, Stellar Gaze Mascara and Lipsticks just to name a few. I have actually reviewed 4 of their nail polish shades in the past and they seriously blew me away. The coverage and formula was phenomenal and the colors were gorgeous, so I was thrilled when they sent me 3 of their newest shades to try out!
So as you can see from the packaging, Pacifica’s nail polishes are 7 free as well as vegan and cruelty free (just like the rest of their products.) The “7 free” means that the formula does not contain parabens, phthalates (dibutyl phthalate), toluene, xylene, camphor, formaldehyde, or resin. These 3 new shades are available exclusively at Ulta and they retail for $9 each. OK, lets get to the swatches…
Stardust Memories is described as a “green iridescent” on the Ulta site, but I definitely think it’s more of a dark silver metallic with flecks of shimmer throughout. It is slightly thin so I needed 3 thin coats for complete opacity. I’m not usually the biggest fan of metallics because of the brush stroke lines, but the shimmer in this helps to mask them a bit. I really like this one!
Superfox is a medium teal with a fine shimmer. This is almost good in 1 coat, but I used 2 just to even everything out.
Midnight Rambler is a deep “blurple” (blue/purple) that looks almost black on the nails. In sunlight you can clearly see its a dark blue-ish shade though. This was also almost perfect in 1 coat, but I used 2.
So yah, these colors are gorgeous and have a fairly perfect formula…Pacifica has done it again! If you have been looking for polishes that are better for you and more readily available at local stores, I highly recommend Pacifica. They offer 38 shades in all with 11 being exclusive to Ulta, 9 being exclusive to Pacifica.com, and the remainder (18) are available on both sites. They also have 3 different top coats to help you complete any manicure with a variety of looks!
Have you tried any Pacifica Nail Polish before? What do you think of the shades?
