Hi lovely readers, I’m back! I decided to take a small break which quickly turned into 2 weeks, but it gave me some much needed time away from the computer to recharge and relax a bit. I love blogging, don’t get me wrong, but sometimes it can feel more like a chore than a fun hobby. Anyway, I am really excited for this review today because I fell in love with this product from the very first time I used it. NO LIE.
The Long Wear Liquid Foundation is the most recent addition to the Osmosis makeup family. There are 8 shades available and the formula offers build-able medium to full coverage (depending on your application tool of choice) with a semi dewy finish. It also contains Goji Berry Blend Extract which is a powerful antioxidant and skin conditioning agent that, in turn, helps skin look natural and luminous with each use.
I chose the shade Fair which is the lightest shade available. When I first tried it a few weeks ago it was slightly too dark on my super pale skin, but since this past weekend I’ve gotten some more color and it now matches almost perfectly. I have acne prone skin with old acne scars and some dark spots and this covers everything wonderfully. I only need to touch up a few spots very lightly with concealer and I’m good to go. The formula is seriously a dream… It gives me the most gorgeous looking natural glow that isn’t too shiny and lasts me all day (8+ hrs) with only minimal fading at my most oily areas, like the sides of my nose and my chin. However, if I remember to do a light dusting of setting powder in those areas, then its not an issue at all.
Overall this foundation was legit love at first use. I have applied it using a beautyblender and my favorite Sigma F80 brush and while they both provide great results, I think I prefer the beautyblender for application. It just provides more of that dewy/luminous finish that I love so much, which is funny because I am typically more of a matte foundation finish girl.
When I run out, this is a definite re-purchase… I love it that much. You get 1.2 oz for $45 which I think is a fair market value for a high end foundation that is also Vegan & Cruelty Free!
Have you tried any Osmosis skincare or makeup products before? Do you prefer Matte or Dewy when it comes to your foundation?
