Greetings lovely readers. So, Valentine’s Day is about 3 weeks away. What do you usually do for the occasion? Do you and your S.O. enjoy a romantic dinner, or do you just have a fun night out with your girlfriends? My guy and I will probably get a sitter and go out to eat together. We aren’t usually big on gifts either, maybe something small because lets be honest, we are still recouping from Christmas! haha! Either way, I do like to get dolled up for the occasion because we tend to go somewhere a little nicer than our typical restaurants.
Anyway, I was recentely sent a bunch of products from Glō Minerals and I thought that they would be perfect for creating an effortless Valentine’s Day Makeup look. Typically, I don’t spend a lot of time on my day to day makeup. I wanted to keep this look simple as well because even when I go out that’s how I tend to do it. I’m not big on contouring or eyeliner, which does take up a lot of time in my opinion. Also, I should note that all of Glō Minerals products are cruelty free!
I created a short video incase you are interested in seeing the process in action. If not, just keep on reading for a detailed review of each product and my final look!
Glō Minerals Valentine’s Day Makeup Look
After I moisturized and primed my face, I started with the Luxe Foundation. This foundation provides sheer to medium buildable coverage, and it has a satin finish. It also contains SPF 18 and light diffusing diamond powder, which helps to illuminate the complexion. I found that with even just 1 coat, the coverage was more on the medium side. You can easily build this up in areas that need more coverage without it getting cake-y looking. I am wearing the shade Porcelain, which is the lightest shade and a good match for my skin tone. $56
I also received the Cream Blush in the shade Guava, which is a medium coral-pink. It is extremely pigmented, so the smallest dab will do. I find that it blends very easily and dries to a soft powdery finish. Usually, I don’t like cream blushes because they tend to stay tacky. Not so with this one! $26
Next, I have the Limited Edition Shimmer Duo. One side is a light champagne and the other is a pale gold. Each of the shades are finely milled and buttery soft. I actually love this duo… like, a lot! I usually skip highlighting, but I have been using this almost every day since I got it. Also, a portion of the proceeds from this item will go to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. They actually have quite a few items that will help the BCF, just look for the pink ribbon on their site! $32
Finally, I finished my look with the Cream Glaze Lip Crayon in Dahlia, which is a medium berry shade. The formula of this lip crayon is SO glossy and comfortable. Each cap also has a built in sharpener, which is very convenient! I got about 5 hours of wear from this color. $16
Also, I forgot to mention that I used their Luxe Foundation Brush to apply the foundation. It is a flat top kabuki brush with super soft bristles. I have washed it twice so far, and haven’t noticed any shedding. $36
So, there you have it! I completed this look in less than 10 minutes, but I sped up my video so it wasn’t too long. I absolutely LOVE every single product that I tried. They are a bit more pricey than your average makeup items, but I think they are so worth it. If I had to pick a few favorites, I would say that the cream blush, the highlighter, and the shadow sticks were my most loved. Hope you all have a nice Valentine’s Day, no matter what you have planned!
Would you wear this look for a night out?
