Can you believe the Northeast (where I live) is getting dumped on with another snow storm this weekend?! C’mon, it’s April now and I, for one, am so over the winter weather scene. Thank goodness I can satisfy my spring craving with all of the great new makeup collections being released. That is seriously the only way I am dealing right now. Speaking of which, Glo Minerals recently launched their Living Color Collection, and thats what I’ll be talking about today!
There are 3 different specially curated sets in the Living Color Collection and I received the After Glow collection. This set is made up of plums and caramel shades that entice a warm, comforting mood. Each set comes packed up in an adorable little box with a card that provides step-by-step instructions to “get the look”.
The AFTER GLOW collection contains:
- Cream Stay Shadow Stick in Gold Blush
- Cream Blush in First Love
- After Glow Eyeshadow Quad
- Lipstick in Glaze
Glo Minerals After Glow Collection
The After Glow eyeshadow quad is warm toned and has an even mix of shimmer and matte shades. I found that the shimmer shades had a creamier feel that blended easier. The mattes weren’t overly chalky, but they were a bit more difficult to blend. This palette is only available in this set. (Their other 4 pan palettes are $38.)
- Penny is a shimmering deep copper brown. This one had the best pigmentation and was so buttery!
- Dove is a dusty periwinkle gray matte
- Dolce is a warm matte toffee
- Glimmer is a light ivory shimmer
Next, their Cream Stay Shadow Stick in Gold Blush is a light plum/pink with golden shift. It is so beautiful. It’s also very pigmented and creamy just like the other Shadow Sticks that I’ve tried. This shade is available separately. $20
The Cream Blush in First Love is a warm rose. (I also have Guava which is a bright warm pink.) I really love the Glo Minerals cream blushes! They are talc-free, non-comedogenic and fortified with their exclusive antioxidant blend, which makes them great for all skin types. Also, they are insanely pigmented, so you only need the smallest dab. Then, blend it out for a soft, airbrushed look! This shade is also sold separately. $28
Finally, we have the Lipstick in Glaze, a warm coppery nude with a shimmer finish. This lipstick has a wonderfully comfortable, creamy formula and great opacity. The shimmer wasn’t overpowering and didn’t have a gritty feeling which is great. I would wear this shade year round, but I feel like it will be fantastic in the fall months! This shade is sold separately. $20 (Also, Glo donates a portion of proceeds from purchases of the Confetti and Glaze shades to the NATIONAL BREAST CANCER FOUNDATION.)
I really love how well all of these makeup items work together! On my eyes, I ended up using Dove in the outer corner and crease and the Cream Stay Shadow Stick on my lid. I also tapped a bit of Glimmer on my brow bone as a highlight. Overall, the Living Color Collection kits really make it easy to get a put together makeup look, for whatever kind of mood you’re in. Plus, buying a kit saves you about $48, as opposed to buying each product separately!
♥ The Living Color Collections are available on the Glo Minerals website – $58 each
