Long time, no talk beauty friends! I have been a bit absent lately because I’ve been trying to catch up with life and random household things. However, I’m back today with a post about some great new products from Maybelline! I was sent the entire line of NEW Maybelline ColorSensational Lip Liners, plus a few of their ColorSensational Lipsticks to try. I’ve been testing them out over the past couple of weeks and I’m ready to give you the low down on these liners.
The new Maybelline ColorSensational Lip Liners are available in 13 creamy hues and 1 clear liner. The colors range from a neutral nude to a vampy plum, and they pair perfectly with the ColorSensational Lipsticks. You can either coordinate your lip look by using a matching liner color, or use a darker liner to create a soft & easy ombre lip. (I tried out both ways in my short YouTube video, so be sure to check it out!)
Now, you can actually use the clear liner in a few different ways. You can use it to line the outside of your lip line (like a fence), you can fill in your entire lips to help lipstick or gloss last longer, and you can even use it to help tame stray brow hairs! These liners are a mechanical style, so there is no sharpening needed. You just have to make sure you don’t turn them up too much, because they can break. I only had 1 snap on me and it was because I accidentally turned it up more than I should have.
Maybelline ColorSensational Lip Liners
(I just realized that I don’t have the liners matched up in the same order as my swatches, so bear with me.) Typically, I don’t use lip liners in my day to day look. Although, when I wear bold or bright colors I wear them because they really help prevent feathering and bleeding around the lip edges. Which is something I’ve noticed happens more now that I’ve gotten older. Overall, the formula is decent. Most of them aren’t overly stiff and are easy to spread onto the lips. (Some of the bolder colors do feel a bit drier than others.) $7.99 at Ulta (and they are BOGO 50% off until 5/14)
Next, I have some ColorSensational Lipsticks to show you. They sent me 4 new shades, and 2 core colors. All of these lipsticks are highly pigmented with a creamy feel. There are a few different formula lines here. I have Born With It and Warm Me Up from the regular ColorSensational line, Midnight Blue and Bossy Berry from the Loaded Bolds line, Toasted Truffle from the Inta-Matte Nudes line, and Rich Ruby from the Creamy Matte Lip Color line. $7.99 at Ulta (also BOGO 50% off until 5/14)
All in all, I really like these liners. They are better than most of the drugstore lip liners that I’ve tried in the past, and they won’t break the bank if you want to pick up a handful of shades. A few of my favorite colors are Nude Whisper, Dusty Rose, Rich Chocolate, Pink Coral, Wild Violets, and Very Cherry.

Have you tried any of these new lip liners or lipstick yet? Would you wear blue lipstick??
