Dang. Just look at all these glittery goodies! To be honest, I’m not much of a glitter person when it comes to makeup, but I was really excited about the eyeshadow palette and the lip toppers. Let’s just get right to the reviews to see what I thought.
Let’s start by talking about the Face Glitter Kit. There are 2 different kits available (I have the Pluto/Mars one) and they each come with 5 stencils, bonding glue, and an applicator. These would be perfect for a festival or halloween party, but not so much for real life. The glitter stayed on pretty well, but washed of easily with soap and water. You can obviously use these other places than your face, but you may need the help of a friend (or some tape) to hold the stencils in place. Each kit retails for $10.99
The Chrome Lip Toppers are meant to be applied over your favorite matte lip color. “This longwear formula is loaded with reflective pigment for a multidimensional finish.” The formula and colors seemed very nice in my arm swatch. I was very excited to try Rose Comet because of the lovely color, but when I swatched it on bare lips, it was pretty much all gold. There was no rose color to be seen, which was disappointing because I loved the arm swatch shade so much. Also, I should note that while they did last about 4-5 hours, the texture was fairly gritty feeling. $7.99 ea.
Lastly, we have the Enchanted Eyeshadow Palette. This is what I was most excited about! The palette contains 10 glitter & shimmer shades, so if you prefer mattes then this is not the palette for you. Each shadow swatched very well and I did my swatches without using primer. Most of them felt really buttery and soft with minimal fallout. The ones that felt the most gritty were With Love and Doves. Charming was the most pigmented and only needed 1 swipe, but the others I swiped about 2 times to achieve the pigmentation you see above. I haven’t tried this on my eyes yet, so I can’t say how well it blends out. $17.99
Overall, I discovered that this collection really wasn’t for me. If you really like glitter or are big on attending Coachella then this might be right up your alley. I would say that the eyeshadow palette was definitely my favorite item here. I think I will be getting a lot of use out of the shade Charming this year!
