Happy hump day beauty friends! I’ve got some new products from Jesse’s Girl to talk about today. I have reviewed a few items from Jesse’s Girl in the past including some nail polish and makeup items, so you can check out those later if you want. What I love about this brand is that they offer quality, yet affordable, beauty products so you don’t have to spend a ton to look great!
First, lets talk about the new Latex Free Blending Sponge. Isn’t the color so pretty? I just love new sponges! So, it is the same shape as my favorite Real Techniques blending sponge, however it is about 25% larger than the RT one. It is also about the same density as the RT sponge (medium/firm), whereas the beautyblender is a bit softer and less dense. I feel like the Jesse’s Girl one retains more moisture, even after squeezing out, so it seems to suck up less makeup. (Which is great if you’re using expensive foundation.) It blends out makeup very well, and you can get a lot of area covered quickly thanks to it’s size. Also, it’s only $3.99 so you don’t have to feel guilty about replacing it frequently!
Now, lets focus on the Dial-A-Lash Mascara. This new mascara from Jesse’s Girl features a twisting brush head that is designed to deliver different lash looks. Adjustable mascara is nothing new, the first one I used was from CK One back in 2014, but the trend is certainly catching on lately. The end of the handle has an adjustable dial where you can turn it to which ever number you prefer. The formula of this mascara is also fairly wet, which isn’t my favorite, but it’s not the worst I’ve used. On the plus side, I don’t get any flaking or “raccoon eyes” while wearing it. I only whish there was a notch or line on the handle so you can tell what number you are on before taking the wand out.
BEFORE & AFTER
(Yah, sorry for the eye close up!) Here, I did a before and after of me wearing 2 coats of the mascara on setting #4. I think my favorite setting might be 2 because is gives fullness, but it separates the lashes slightly better. This mascara will retail for $7.99 and you can find it at Rite Aid starting October 10th, and the Jesse’s Girl site on October 1st.
Have you tried any new Jesse’s Girl products lately??
