I know October is almost over, and I wanted to get this post up so much earlier, but these things happen! Anyway, I was recently sent a limited edition pink box of the Original Baby Foot foot peel. I was so excited because I’ve wanted to try Baby Foot for the longest time but never made the commitment. Well, this month Baby Foot is helping to promote breast cancer awareness by donating 10% of proceeds from their pink box to the American Cancer Society. There really is no better time to buy! I have tried the peel and I’m ready to give a quick re-cap of what I think.
So, the application itself is pretty simple. The box comes with 2 plastic booties that are pre-filled with the exfoliating solution gel made up of 17 natural extracts. After washing your feet, you should soak them for about 10 minutes (then dry) before putting the booties on. This will help the peel penetrate deeper and work better. (Putting the booties on did feel rather weird, as the gel was cold and slimy.) Then, apply the tape to secure the top of the booties and put on some socks over them just incase you need to walk around. You have to wait one hour, so cozy up with a book or your favorite show, and relax. Afterwards, rinse the solution off and wait for the magic to happen.
It takes a few days for your feet to start peeling, and it varies from person to person. I got a tip from other beauty bloggers to soak your feet every night and that seemed to help the process of peeling. It has been a week since I did the peel and I think my feet are almost done. Before they had thick callused heels and toes, and now the skin feels so soft and looks smooth and hydrated. I am very happy with the results! Note, the peeling process is a bit gross so you definitely don’t want to do this in the summer when you will be wearing sandals outside! I am planning on doing this again in the spring to ensure I have nice, summer ready feet. I was skeptical at first, but now I don’t know how I’ve gotten on without it! No other exfoliating product has ever worked so well for me.
