Greetings polish lovers! If you’re like me, then you probably love a nice sparkly polish every once in a while. Typically, I tend to gravitate towards cremes, but it’s hard to say no to a shimmering holo. So, when I saw that there was a new Revlon Holochrome Collection, I was pretty excited to try a few.
There are 8 total shades in the collection, but I only bought 4. Luckily they were BOGO 50% off at Rite Aid when I got them, and they are BOGO 50% of at Ulta until 12/24. The collection consists of 4 holo finishes and 4 metallic finishes. I got 2 of each. 🙂 Also, I used 2 coats in all of my photos.
Blushing is a warm metallic pink with rose gold shimmer. I really like this color and it kind of reminds me of Zoya’s Happi.
Amethyst Smoke is a smoky metallic purple with a green shift.
Fairy Dust is a light sea green with a “holo” finish. I put holo in quotations because the holo effect is pretty weak, and almost non existent. It looks more like a plain shimmery finish.
Unicornicopia is a periwinkle blue “holo”. Again, the holo is not very noticeable.
So, all in all these polishes are hit and miss. They really missed the mark on the holo shades. Well, the shades themselves are lovely and have a great formula, but the holo-ness that I was hoping for was seriously lacking. Also, I should mention that I first bought Molten Magic and it was such a blah silver that I exchanged it for Amethyst Smoke which was thankfully 100x better.
These polishes retail for $6.99 and you can find them at Ulta.com. (Currently BOGO 50% off until 12/14!)
